Throughout the years we have developed a strong PAT community who are actively making advanced manufacturing a reality in Puerto Rico. We want to continue this progress and expand our community. This year's program reflects the transformation towards continuous manufacturing, new PAT methods, implementation of biologics cell therapies and single use systems, and Industry 4.0.
Each session will start with one or two presentations dedicated to providing a holistic view of the advancements made. These initial talks will provide both newcomers and experienced practitioners with an opportunity to evaluate the advances made, before following with more specific conferences on recent developments.
The Continuous Manufacturing Session will start with: Perspective of Continuous Manufacturing - The Hardware, Strategies & Opportunities Carlos Monserrate, Senior Engineering, Advisor Eli Lilly, an excellent opportunity to visualize the opportunities and challenges in continuous manufacturing.
The PAT Session will start with the conference: Process Analytical Technology within Advanced Manufacturing, providing an overview of the advances made since the approval of this important guidance.
The Biologics Session will start with: Advancing Real-Time Monitoring of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Operations: Predicting In-Process Control Parameters in Column Chromatography, Pablo Rosado, Ph.D., Scientist, Amgen, Juncos, PR and The Next Step...Cell Manufacturing: A 10 year vision and consortium approach to attain reliable, reproducible, scalable, and accessible cell base products. Madeline Torres- Lugo & Maribella Domenech, NSF ERC for Cell Manufacturing Technologies, UPR-M & GA Tech
The Industry 4.0 Session will start with: Industry 4.0, Data Integrity and Amgen's Data Strategy, by Jose Luis Pagan-Sanabria, Executive Director of Information Systems, and Advances of Process Modeling in Continuous Manufacturing of Solid Oral Dosage Pharmaceutical Products: Towards Industry 4.0, Nirupa Metta, Pooja Bhalode, Yinjie Chen and Marianthi Ierapetritou (speaker), Rutgers University.
Our comprehensive program includes cutting edge technological and regulatory solutions, case studies, panels and roundtable discussions from the FDA, key industry leaders, the vendors and academia.
The IFPAC-Summit 2019 Program was designed to bring a range of participants to the table creating an invaluable opportunity to discuss the latest challenges, trends and solutions impacting manufacturing and control for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
